I was told that Quickbooks allows estimates but I can't seem to figure out how to create them. How do I create an estimate without creating an invoice.
Answer:
Quickbooks does allow estimates but to simplify your view they allow the user to turn on or off that feature depending on the needs of their company.
To turn on estimates:
Click Edit>Preferences
Select the Company Preferences Tab
Select Job and Estimates from the list on the left
Under "Do you create estimates?", select yes
Click Ok
Quickbooks will close all screens (not the company file). Click the home button and you will now see estimates on the home screen as an option prior to creating invoices.
